Why should you consider Google Apps? How does it work?

So far, IEK Vergi is the only Greek educational institute having implemented Google Apps into their IT infrastructure. Do you know of any other?

Dan, every change causes reaction. Inertia of habit is a strong force.
Moreover, control and data security are usually serious concerns. As Greek universities are public, financial issues are rated as secondary.

Interesting blog, I am curious as to why less Universities in Greece would move to Google Apps then in other EU countries where many more have done so.

Patricia, it’s not so difficult to imagine why. If a platform is not hosted in the institute’s servers, then there are questions of security and ownership of data.
