Training for Success weekly series on Virtual Immersive Environments and Gamification hosted by Anders Gronstedt featured Jim Kiggens, Serious Games Developer and CEO of CourseGames. Yesterday was the special premiere of University of Washington’s Certificate Program in Virtual Worlds, 2012 Class.
At the magnificent UW Avalumni Island, old and new friends, participants from all over the world with various cultures, disciplines and experience in virtual worlds started discovering and experiencing the potential of Second Life.
Mentor Team, Sicily Zapatero and Stylianos Ling, facilitated as newcomers to SL overcame technical difficulties and mastered in record time the basic ’survival’ skills in a virtual immersive environment; movement, written and oral communication, interaction with other avatars and the environment.
